The way we think, speak, and act are watched.

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.Romans 12:1-2

Romans 12 starts off the fifth, and final segment of Romans: Service. Starting off with understanding sin, our undeniable need for salvation, and our holy transformation through sanctification that makes understanding His Sovereignty; giving God our all is this only valid conclusion. We err in believing that we can isolate what this servanthood looks like without fully committing to serving God. Here in America, people on both sides of the political spectrum will beautifully describe service in their contempt for illegal immigrants:

"If they are going to come to America, they need to be totally sold out for America, and they need to speak nothing but English!"

Not only do Americans require immigrants to be sold out for America! The highest honors in America are being a soldier of the military, and/or a first responder. As Memorial Day 2021 comes and goes, social media timelines, and even broadcast airwaves will recite the following passage in honor of them:

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.John 15:13

We recognize these heroes, alive and dead, because of the personal sacrifices that they make to ensure our liberty, and safety are secured. Yet with all this honor, and glory to them; less than 1% of the population serve in the military, the same number are first responders!

These are the professions we recognize for their service but there are tons more where the spirit of sacrifice is manifested.

If this can be witnessed in earthly professions, why not Christian proclamations?

This is self-condemning. Especially when Americans require that immigrants leave their culture behind to assimilate into the American culture. They must speak English! They cannot bring their African, Hispanic, Asian, or other culture into the unified spirit of what it means to be American.

Even now, the Anglo-European Male culture is being denigrated for a culture of diversity and inclusion. A contradiction called acceptance is commanding a cultural assimilation into popular, but partisan, opinion. The way we think, speak, and act are under extreme ostracism for unwavering compliance and daily reminders of what said compliance looks like.

Resistance is futile to the coming assimilation!

This exactly what Romans 12:2 is stating. Each day beings with renewing our minds for complete assimilation, and association with all things God! Every fiber of our being is actively "serving" as a conduit of the Love, Mercy, Grace, and Truth of God. That's when we will know that we are God appropriated!
