A song to my King

Praising God as commanded.

Now You wake me

up this day,

To praise and honor You

in my own way!

With other sinners that

are born on this Earth,

Who only look to You

to find their true worth!

That was painfully won

upon that Tree,

To rescue man from

their depravity.

Found in the recesses

of our hearts,

The seed of pride

is where it starts!

It germinates into

a life of stress,

Because it's You we're not

trying to impress.

It's for all the wrong people

of various kinds,

That we sadly surrender

the keys of our minds.

Renew our attention

back on You,

The Only Lord and King

Who is Tried and True!

May our minds be focused

In the words we sing,

May our hearts be ready

in the worship we bring.

Hallelujah dear Jesus

our Gracious Savior,

Thank You God for

showing us favor!
